Our pieces begin from our relationship to each other and often involve “a thing” (e.g a tape recorder, a guilty conscience) that interests us and that is brought in by one to the other. Amidst countless hours of conversation we sense that we are touching on something at once close to us and not yet graspable. As we set parameters in an attempt to untangle it, installations, performance, sound, photography and moving image develop.
Timna Lugstein (*2000 in Vienna) is an artist working mostly with film (photography and moving image), she studies fine arts in the photography department at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and roman language studies. Denitza Zafirova (*1997 in Sofia) trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, NY, and is now living and working as an actress and interdisciplinary artist in Paris.
They/We met in 2018 and have been working together ever since.

Vienna and Paris are 1033.49km apart. If a sound is sent from Paris to Vienna, imagining an even surface with no obstacles, it will reach Vienna in exactly 49 minutes, and vice versa.
It’s Not Really Me
Once upon a time, there was a woman with a guilty conscience. She had no idea where it came from, but she remembered that the only way to cure it was by visiting old Coprinopsis picacea. So she decided to go find it, and tell it about the things that were pressing her soul - to rid herself of the guilty conscience. Little did she know that old Coprinopsis picacea was not only a good listener, but also a passionate sporer. It didn’t take long and the fungus started relating so hard, it accidently spread bits and pieces of the womans secrets all over…
